Also, don't waste your time editing any builds. They're all going to be wiped from this wiki (copyright issues). Hopefully we'll have them all back up in no time. -Auron 15:46, 21 April 2007 (CEST)

Having fun blocking yourself? :-) Lania Elderfire 17:30, 25 April 2007 (CEST)

Please check out PvXwiki:Policy and vote on some policies. Please do not vote on build vetting policies yet - voting for those will commence on the tenth. In particular, PvX:WELL needs to be addressed. Thank you! -- Armond WarbladeArmond sig image.png{{sysop}} 01:42, 6 May 2007 (CEST)

Conjure cripslash

[1] May I direct you to Build talk:W/E Conjure Cripslash#Counters? It's not hard for SoA to reduce the damage from both the conjure and the sword attacks... -- Armond WarbladeArmond sig image.png{{sysop}} 06:56, 23 May 2007 (CEST)

SoA is prot, prot is generally not listed as a counter (by your logic, SoA is a counter for... pretty much everything, including sins and dervs). Sure, if you autoattack a target and are dumb enough to unleash your combo while SoA is still up, it will be 0 damage; however, remember that the cripslashes point was never to DPS the shit out of your target. You can cripple the target through SoA, and that is your biggest boon - nobody cares if you're doing zip damage for 5 seconds, the covered cripple that you can stack deep wound on is more valuable than autoattack damage. TBFH conjure isn't worth it most of the time, warriors make better use of that 10 energy through shock. I'll reply over there in a sec, moving my laptop around >.< -Auron 10:40, 23 May 2007 (CEST)

No apply poison? Wtf d00d i thot u were making a gud dervish! -Auron 07:17, 24 May 2007 (CEST)
Nah, I made an even better one tho! I use Mark of rudgurt and cojur flames! I cuaz burnign! and AoE wit a scythe pwnage. yeah, I am that gud. Readem (talk*pvxcontribs) 07:21, 24 May 2007 (CEST)
Meh... I'm not sure about the sup scythe or the earth prayers investment for one skill. Mystic Regen abuse is nice, but not feasible on most derv bars; this one's got some enchantments, but it'll be costly (and probably impossible) to keep them all up and spam your attacks, and spend 10 energy extra just for a healing breeze effect. -Auron 07:23, 24 May 2007 (CEST)
I usually never use Mystic. It's just kinda there O.o. If you alternate Zealous and Fury, E isn't so bad. Besides, in RA and TA, games are to short to worry about E. Readem (talk*pvxcontribs) 07:27, 24 May 2007 (CEST)
While you guys are talking about Dervs, would you take a look at this? I was asked to create a decent Avatar of Dwayna build, and this is my shot. My gripes are that it doesn't have a DW or Featherfoot Grace to reduce conditions. On the plus side, it is durable, it is pretty much imprevious to the Icy Shackles ele that every other team is running, other hexers and if it needs to, it can run flags as well. Pair it with a WoR Rit and you might have a potent 2-man. Optional could split atts and get Natural Healing or Harrier's Grasp, Bull's Strike or Distracting Blow, or whatnot. Thanks. - Kowal.jpg Krowman {{sysop}} 07:45, 24 May 2007 (CEST)
Avatar of Dwayna Victorious Sweep Eremite's Attack Wild Blow Pious Haste Frenzy Optional Resurrection Signet

Go see what happens when you put frenzy on a 70 AL target. — Skuld 11:50, 24 May 2007 (CEST)

Needz more heal sig O.o Readem (talk*pvxcontribs) 15:48, 24 May 2007 (CEST)

Well, dumping frenzy would be a good start. Wild is not as good, w/ new rec. Readem (talk*pvxcontribs) 15:52, 24 May 2007 (CEST)

Avatar of Dwayna is shit against hexes, i've tried it, you spend more time removing hexes than you do attacking. Purge Signet is the way to go, and keep a decent avatar (read - melandru). Dwayna is much less damage, and not even that good. — Skuld 23:30, 24 May 2007 (CEST)

/Agree. Though I wonder how Skuld manages to use both Mel and Purge :P. I manage to use it on BA, and RC tho, so maybe... Readem (talk*pvxcontribs) 23:45, 24 May 2007 (CEST)

The dervish doesnt use purge, purge is used on the dervish, fool :p — Skuld 10:47, 1 June 2007 (CEST)
I was about to say rofl... Readem (talk*pvxcontribs) 19:33, 1 June 2007 (CEST)

I included Frenzy because of its short recharge, basically to help remove Hexes via AoD. You can use it anywhere (i.e. during KD, while attacking, doesn't require a target etc). You could probably put Flurry or possibly even Dash in there to achieve the same effect. Like my user page says, I run AoM almost exclusively, used to run AoG with my Derv. This isn't my fave, but I think it's a decent attempt at AoD. - Kowal.jpg Krowman {{sysop}} 00:32, 25 May 2007 (CEST)

Variant question

Build:N/A Virulent Pressure Is my latest brain scheeme. The top build is a Necro pressure support build that accomplishes it's goals. The variant below (at the bottom of the page) uses the exact same engine to achieve some of the similar effects, but runs assasin primary to deal solo spike damage. Can I keep them together or should they be seperated into two seperate builds? Shireen 04:34, 31 May 2007 (CEST)

They're similar enough to keep on the same page. -Auron 05:13, 31 May 2007 (CEST)
Just checking, Thank you. Shireen 05:38, 31 May 2007 (CEST)

Have to admit...

Somehow won 2 glads w/ a Mind Blaster in RA. Fireball is pretty pwnage I must admit. No Healer's either :p Readem (talk*pvxcontribs) 07:37, 31 May 2007 (CEST)

You cited me for NPA and not spartan? Not cool, man. He insulted multiple people multiple times and i did it once. I'm not appealing my citing in anyway i deserved but really don't care. However i am seeking fair distribution of punishment. For anyone not understanding: 19:02, 31 May 2007 (CEST)

A Favour?

Theres this build, Build:E/R Winter lightning that I and Naplam think should be deleted, but the user keeps reverting the deletion tags. i violated 1-RV by putting the deletion tag in again, so you can warn me for that if you want. BaineTheBotter 16:37, 1 June 2007 (CEST)

Thanks for bringing admin attention to light. Much appreciated. '~\^/~' Napalm Flame Napalm Flame Sig Image.JPG (talk)(contributions) 03:07, 2 June 2007 (CEST)
Put admin review tag, not delete. Readem (talk*pvxcontribs) 19:33, 1 June 2007 (CEST)
Consider yourself duly warned. I have also posted a note on EverDying's talk page informing him that he cannot continue removing the deletion tag. In the future though, Readem is right, bring it to an Admin's attention rather than reverting the tag. DE Sig Test 2.jpg *Defiant Elements* +talk 20:07, 1 June 2007 (CEST)
No, don't cite him, 1RV doesn't apply to vandalism. -- Armond WarbladeArmond sig image.png{{sysop}} 03:05, 2 June 2007 (CEST)
Removing the tag repeatedly isn't vandalism (in this case). It's not knowing the rules... which isn't an excuse. -Auron 03:14, 2 June 2007 (CEST)

Help requested

Any help, regarding these three projects would be greatly appreciated.

  • PvX:NoBias: A policy that states newly written Builds should be unbiased, and create Builds that are not limited by the Author in any way.
  • IW Guide: A Guide describing the basic ideas and concepts of an IW Mesmer.
  • Mass Builds Clean-up: (IMPORTANT) A check list of sorts, for reviewing the legitimacy of Tested Builds.
