The biggest problem with Decapitate is that you can't do anything after it. You have to rebuild all your energy (which has hopefully been stable) and you don't even have any adrenaline for rush or a follow-up. If only you could use it with another elite, like warrior's endurance. Well, this suboptimal team (able to be added into any modern balanced build without too much difficulty) can do just that... once or twice every 60 seconds!
<pvxbig> [build prof=warrior/mesmer][dismember][power attack][protector's strike][rush][frenzy][warrior's endurance][bull's strike][arcane mimicry][/build] [build prof=mesmer/warrior][Decapitate][diversion][shame][cry of frustration][power drain][shatter enchantment][inspired enchantment][resurrection signet][/build]</pvxbig>
Actually, your mesmer bar can be whatever you want, pretty much. Run Power leak instead of cry or eburn instead of shame as it pleases you. Take a -5 energy axe on that mesmer so he can... call a caster spike on someone if he feels like it and not get totally boned on energy.
Also, an alternative to the mesmer if you're into hero-way (and possibly a better way to go, since Dunkoro complains a bit less than a human mesmer would):
past builds: user:Pluto/awesome
- SoJ Mesmer, the build my guild copied from pT. Of course, half of the guild came from pT, so we're justified in copying it. =)
- Signet Of Illusion Ward Mesmer, a domination mesmer who only specs in Illusion and Fast Casting.
- Decapitate Spiker. lulz, it's like being a retarded eviscerate warrior.
- Cleave Warrior. Pretty much just a standard Cleave Warrior.
So, if you're making a pvp build for these character classes, it'll probably be this build, with elites or alternatives filling the same roles as some of the skills presented.
RANGER: <pvxbig> [build prof=ranger/monk Expertise=12+1+1 Wilderness=9+1 Marksmanship=9+1 Prot=3][optional][savage shot][distracting shot][mending touch][Troll][Apply poison][Natural stride][resurrection signet][/build] </pvxbig> Mending touch can be antidote signet if not /mo, apply can be replaced with barbed arrows, and any ranger elite that can take the place of one of these skills (instead of the optional slot) may do so (magebane instead of savage, for example). MONK: <pvxbig> [build prof=monk/any][gift of health][reversal of fortune][dismiss condition][holy veil][guardian][prot spirit][optional][optional][/build] </pvxbig>
