This was the build layout (I don't even have the exact builds):
Me/N Esurge Mes
N/E Tainter Hero
N/W Soul Bind Hero with Diciplined Stance
D/E Wounding Strike
A/Rt Shattering Assault with Death Pact Signet
E/Rt Savannah Heat with Earth Snares and DPS (me)
Mo/Me HB (It was the first time he played HB ever)
The strategy was simple. Mesmer annoy things. Derv bash things. Sin bash the RC only. Ele nuke things. Monks prot/heal things.
We won the UW, we nearly lost Fetid but we recovered and won (double morale boost FTW) so we got a hall skip. 3 teams, blue got ganked by an E/A EoE Bomb so we got the cap. We capped, got killed, blue capped, gank, we capped, and at 1 minute we were all dead, rezzed, THEN the ghostly died. Yellow ganked the blue ghost and didn't bother capping themselves so we won 7-0-8.
The match after that we lost because our double DPS backfired and killed 6 of us in 1 go. That was fun. Lost that Capture Point match with about 24-27 though. Yellow resigned, got stuck at 10.
Also, the best vent ever, that RC guy was totally hyper ("Spike this target 321 321 321 321" all said within 1 second).
Owning HA build
D/E Wounding Strike
2x R/W Axe Thumper (EoE and Tox)
Me/E VoR (me)
We managed to blow a team up at Fetid in.... 00:54. We reached halls through a skip, but had bad luck with King of the Hill. At one point I had 4 or 5 simultanious "+40 faction"s over my head. Got rolled though, we capped for about 15 seconds and then the ghostly was killed already. Facing balance and a Contagion which had been holding for about 1.5-2 hours. We could have rolled them on Capture Points.
4 Consec hallwins
War (from rawr)
IA (from rawr)
10 consecs of which 4 in halls. Got that infuse from r0/r1 to r2 1/2. Lost in a 3-way KotH match to guys from keys.
We had no snares, and we won 2 relic runs. 1 3-way, 1 2-way vs Rspike.
1337 RA build, Prot FTW
[build prof=mo/x pro=12+1+1 div=12+1][shield of deflection][reversal of fortune][dismiss condition][guardian][shield of absorption][spirit bond][heaven's delight][holy veil]
Usage: Go prot everything. Got to 10 wins the first time I tried this, and I suck at prots. Use to practise protting. Don't prot really well, and someone dies.
Variants: ZB for SoD if you want to have a bit more healing, but healing is for nubs.

The Gates Assassin's Concept of the Whenever
Defense you gain from utility is generally good. Defense you gain from defense is generally worse.
Snares, interrupts, and knockdowns are all examples of utility. Skills like distracting shot, while it's nature is offensive, can be very defensive as well by interrupting skills that target you. This creates a skill that allows you to hurt them, and save yourself. A snare can slow down enemies to allow melee to more easily spike them, however they double as a skill that allows you to kite away while they move slower. Just plain old defense, such as skills like Armor of Earth and Mist Form, only gain benefit in one way, defense. You can't use Mist Form offensively EVER. While it takes more skill to use utility over just plain defense, in the end you get more effect.--The GatesAssassin 15:18, 15 July 2008 (EDT)

Mgrinshpon's Leet Build of the Whenever
The Shadow Judgment assassin attempts to combine the Guild Wars world's two greatest foes- Area of Effect damage and shadow stepping: and succeeds admirably. Combining degen in the form of burning is just a cherry on the top of this sundae of decadent bravery.
This gem comes from the festering filth-hole we all know and love: the PvX authors. Not the "my wife's little sister is pretty hot" kind of love and impure thoughts but the "me and you, with a half-empty bottle of Baccardi, a 40 weight, and wearing nothing but contented smiles" kind of love. The kind of love that only the Shadow Judgment assassin and the original brave man-creator can give to you. Now, the author has since been lost to the annals of PvX:WELL but rest assured that this bad boy will just pop right in behind you and judge you for all you're worth.

Addendum: my apologies for taking so long to update this.
If you've ever guested for a euro guild, you'll know that the moment they take any pressure whatsoever (a bar drops below roughly 98%), their monks will scream that they have no energy remaining and they need both warriors to lineback until VoD, immediately.
