Equipment

Skillsdisk
The Equipment Template for this build is:
Pk5RRvCoBTaAgrW9r4mEO900mCODLbiJO7RZgFODrDnFONB
  • A 40/40 Heal Set.
  • A high set (a wand and focus with two 15/-1 mods).
  • A 40/20/20% Healing staff (when bringing Vigorous Spirit)
  • A 40/20/20% Protection Staff (in the advent of Guardian)
  • Disciple's Insignias, with a Rune of Superior Vigor and 2 Runes of Vitae.
  • A Spear + Shield set with +5 energy and +5 Armor on the spear, along with a 10% chance to gain double adrenaline. You should have a variety of max Q7/Q8 Tactics shields, with all of the various +10 vs. damage (fire, lightning, piercing, slashing, etc) mods.

Usage

  • Maintain Vigorous Spirit on yourself and as many teammates as possible (prioritizing to the teammates who it is most useful on).
  • Constantly auto-attack in your spear set (tab+spacebar) when not casting, to build adrenaline for Bonetti's Defense and gain healing from Vigorous Spirit.
  • Cast Word of Healing on targets who are below 50% health or who you think are about to drop below 50%.
  • Use Patient Spirit when Word of Healing and Vigorous Spirit are simply not enough, or when you want to avoid using Word of Healing as much as possible to avoid interrupts.
  • Use Bonetti's Defense to prevent physical damage and possibly even gain energy. You can even use this to prevent Ranger interrupts. If it is charged and you don't seem to be needing it much to stop melee opponents, throw up a Bonetti's before casting WoH to help avoid a Distracting Shot from a Ranger.
  • Use Dolyak Signet to prevent key knockdowns and provide yourself with additional defense. You'll most want to use this when Bonetti's Defense isn't charged.
  • Use Draw Conditions where necessary to remove conditions (again, prioritize to when and where it is most needed...take blind off your melee teammates and remove deep wound if it might kill someone, but don't spam Draw Conditions if your energy is pressured).
  • Use Spotless Mind to keep your teammates clean of hexes. You do not need to cast this in your enchantment extending set unless you have weakness on you (it already lasts 15 seconds at 15 Healing, which is enough to remove exactly 3 hexes over time). You should cast it in your 40/40 heal set to get a quick recharge if you're trying to keep it on multiple teammates as much as possible and you should cast it in your spear+shield set if you're taking significant amounts of damage.
  • Use Cure Hex to remove a hex from yourself (or any ally) while also providing a heal.

Counters

  • Standard anti-Monk counters

Variants

  • Guardian - Instead of Draw Conditions or Vigorous Spirit if you find a protection spell for your allies to be more useful. Decrease Divine Favor to 7+1 and increase Protection Prayers to 8+1.
  • Signet of Rejuvenation - Instead Vigorous Spirit if you find it to be more efficient and also don't seem to need a cover enchantment.
  • Balanced Stance, Protector's Defense, or Shield Bash - Instead of Dolyak Signet if you feel more comfortable with any of those protective abilities.
  • Holy Veil - Instead of Spotless Mind if you find the increased cast time and energy cost (in order to maintain the Veil) to be worth the ability to pre-prot against hexes; or, instead of Cure Hex if you find the pre-prot ability of Veil to be better than the added healing power and fast cast/recharge potential (because of your 40/40 healing set) of Cure Hex.
  • CoP - Instead of Cure Hex for a self-removal that can potentially remove multiple hexes and conditions, while also casting quickly to avoid disruption.
  • Divine Spirit and Deny Hexes - Instead of Spotless Mind and either Draw Conditions or Cure Hex, to provide a combination of energy management along with a double hex removal skill.
