Talk: W/Rt HM Raptor Hatchling Farm

Can anyone tell me what i am doing wrong i can never seem to kill them all and end up dieing.PWNERER 19:14, 1 March 2008 (EST)

Instead of the running stances I add Light of Deldrimor and Feel No Pain. It can be just enough to kill the raptors around the Broodmother before you die. ImperialMike 15:30, 11 January 2008 (EST)

great build!!! personally i prefer to replace radiation field by light of deldrimor but thats a matter of preference i guess. btw imperialmike eveb with the standard build i manage to kill most or all raptore around the broodmother before dying.

I found that with just Radiation Field, the raptors would often die AFTER I had already died, and I wouldn't get the drops or Asura pts from those deaths, which is why I added Light of Deldrimor. ImperialMike 11:05, 16 January 2008 (EST)

nice build

W/Rit

good build, it does take a few trys to learn how to pin them on the wall, but once you got it, this build works very nicly and smooth, did it without SoS and enraging charge (dont have nightfall) used feel no pain(not drunk) and deffensive stance in there place --72.38.151.46 14:56, 19 January 2008 (EST)

Inferior?

wut? lul, we have a W/Rt Destroer Core farmer which can also be called inferior to E/Me version, but W/Rt works, and works very well, thus, some players liek me dont have an Ele but have a Warrior to farm with so saying that this build is inferior just because some E/A or A/E can do this farm better is not a reason to WELL it, it works, it works nicely and if it works nicely, it is viable. --Igor 18:32, 24 January 2008 (EST)

That build got WELLed for the same reason you're saying NOT to WELL this one, so it has been done before and probably should be done IF someone can actually prove the A/E or E/A version is really superior in all ways. As explained in the linked talk page, the neither the E/A or the A/E get WELLed, even though they have the same purpose, because one provides more damage and the other provides more survivability. I dont get he above two comments coz in the first one I cant see the build u linked me to, its just talk page, but Im guessing it was 80hp D/Mo so it was really inferior as for disability to kill stuff properly while farming. An I will explain another time why this should not be WELLed, it should not because it DOES work, not as good as A/E or E/A but it still works, it still kills rather fast and general concept of W/Rt is great, thus, I cant get why u think that the only category out there is Great Builds and always compare everything with them, what is more, why the heck compare with totally different profession farmers? What if someone does not have them in their disposal, but in this case has a Warrior? So if u are comparing then compare with the original W/Rt VWK and other Warrior conecpts if u want to compare so badly, but hey, u will instantly see that they are no way adapted to the farm, and this builds does the job better. --Igor 11:55, 25 January 2008 (EST)

lol, dude if u will read more carefully than u will understand that I was meaning absolutely an opposite thing, the thing is that u CAN NOT compare totally different builds, u can not, A/E and E/A are to Great Builds of a totally different profession with different play and farming style, and it is plain stupid to compare them to a W/Rt farmer if u ask me, u should compare this build to an original W/Rt and othe Warrior builds and u will understand that this build is more suited to farm Raptors rthat the original thus we have W/Rt Destroer Core farmer who got voted into Great in little more than a day and nobody ever compared it to E/Me which seems clearly better thus, if u go to CTC u will see that it is just plain full of W/Rts same with this build. --Igor 05:43, 26 January 2008 (EST)

nice build.. honestly i wasnt about to buy extra runes and re-rune a set of armor but i find the build works fine with 9+1+2 str/9 tact/12 resto useing light of the deldrimor and only haveing r3 asura/deldrimor and to the nay-sayers.. if youre gonna vet a any/w raptor farmer, i dont see an issue with vetting this, the major issue here is it requires slightly more intelligence then a door knob which most warriors ive played with fail to posess >from a monks stand point<

Pull them to the bone!

So I've been farming, and I found a little notch perfect to hold the little buggers while to get Rad. Field off. It's the large bone sticking out in the blue light near the south wall across the entrance. I'll try to get a screenshot to show. Master Saji 17:19, 4 April 2008 (EDT)

Light Of Deldrimor

I have rank 5 deldrimor and use light of deldrimor instead of of radiation field. It is A LOT slower but gets A LOT more drops comapred to when i use radiation field. I suggest anyone who read this try it and maybe even do some calculations if you can to see whats rakes in items faster. But its very obvious killing them slower and at different times gets more drops, with radiation field i get maybe 2-4 drops, with light of deldrimor i get about 5-10 drops and more golds and purples, one run i got on gold two purple and a sin tome and some saurian bones.

Boss

how can i kill the boss? this is pointless for farming points if you can't take the boss. i've tried many variations but i can't

Note: Sometimes, VWK recharges faster then normal, haven't figured out how yet, but keep an eye out for it, a 2nd VWK is always better then a rad field or lod ;)
