This is working, just thats it's lameway :/. Fish 15:03, 6 September 2007 (CEST)

Every build in HA is lame, tbh. Even so-called balanced builds have to resort to spiking to kill stuff, and run ridiculous amounts of defense such as DA chains or bonds. Tycn 15:10, 6 September 2007 (CEST)

Spiking to score kills isn't exclusive to HA. It is vital to all forms of play, GvG included. User:IbreaktoiletsIbreaktoilets 15:55, 6 September 2007 (CEST)
Also, ridiculous amounts of defense isn't HA exclusive either. Bsurge, Wards, Aegis, SoD much? User:IbreaktoiletsIbreaktoilets 15:57, 6 September 2007 (CEST)
Except the ridiculous amount of defensive skills isn't needed, HA is a format where you can just roll the enemy team and it's game over. While there's nothing wrong with spiking, it seems like that's all that HA has become, that and gimmicks. Although if what I'm saying doesn't make sense I wouldn't be surprised, since it's pretty late and I can't think clearly. Tycn 16:05, 6 September 2007 (CEST)

Right now, this build is the metagame for low ranks wanting to make it to HoH. IMO the trappers are the most vital part of this build, using their traps for the healers to kite through is essential as well as snaring enemy runners/ghostly. This build works. Bottom line. This is the best Guild Wars HA build ever! ok not really but i love it..i won in HoH 4 times with it last night and 3 times the night before that. I LOVE it. It really works wonders.

Consider adding this as a variant, i see more and more groups running it:

Well of Power Well of Blood Weapon of Warding Spirit Light Mend Body and Soul Spirit Transfer Flesh of My Flesh optional

Throw your spirit of choice up in optional and set to 12 resto soul reaping 10 blood 8--Goldenstar 22:22, 2 October 2007 (CEST)

Spirit spammer

The build currently suggested for the spirit spammer is the following build:

Expel Hexes Warmonger's Weapon Splinter Weapon Shelter Union Displacement Bloodsong Flesh of My Flesh

What is the real use of this spirit spammer except for removing hexes and using the weapon spells he has? When his spirits die they don't give energy to the N/Rt healers (since only spirits created by them give them energy). What is the use of a shelter that dies after it protects you from 6 hits? What is the real use of displacement when it dies after protecting the party from 7 hits? Is there really nothing that will be more effective to fill in the 8th slot in the party? Wouldn't it be better to add spirits like pain or maybe a spirit rift / ancestor's rage to help out on offense? Or maybe an Essence Strike as energy management and some added damage output. With the current meta, which is insanely low on hexes, the current build this rit is running is next to useless. - 00:33, 7 October 2007 (CEST)

OoA Healer

OoA is teh sux for this, run another elite. with NR and tranq up, ooa lasts ~ 3 seconds, and takes 4 seconds to cast, run double WoR if you have to, or even the well of blood build above, but not OoA with NR and tranq.—Cheese Slaya's Sig.jpg Cheese Slaya (Talk) 06:11, 11 October 2007 (CEST)

It's pretty much meta, and would be useful when NR/Tranquility are shot down, and when bashing enemy ghostlies. Tycn 06:26, 11 October 2007 (CEST)

It's meta on teh teams that lose, trust me. if NR/tranq are going to be down most of the time, why waste the slots on them? OoA is useless on the ghostly, the only times when you can hurt it is when the monks are down, they should be your first target, not the ghostly.—Cheese Slaya's Sig.jpg Cheese Slaya (Talk) 06:28, 11 October 2007 (CEST)
Make the switch then. Tycn 06:43, 11 October 2007 (CEST)

Trapper Shields

It would be possible for the trappers (at least the spike trapper)to use a shield that gives 45 health and damage reduction while in a stance, since they are using Trapper's Speed constantly.Stryk the Lightning 17:58, 12 October 2007 (CEST)

Won't work. The smoke trapper will have to attack to load up song of concentration. Also he should attack the person he gets to stand in his smoke trap. Interruption for the win :) On the spike trapper it might work tho i would still keep using the +30hp mod. And the damage reduction while in a stance insignia is a lot worse then any of the "+10 armor vs X" inscriptions. In the beginning you can inventarise the enemy and swich to the right shield to use. - 23:43, 16 October 2007 (CEST)

move page

why not move this page to be titled sway instead of spiritway. thats what everyone calls it in HA Curlytop2112 23:43, 17 October 2007 (CEST)

Then people will mistake it for Shitway, wait it already is. Swift Thief 19:21, 21 October 2007 (CEST)
sway is an abbreviation of Spiritway, no? --Edru viransu//QQ about me/sysop 19:23, 21 October 2007 (CEST)

what about xinrae's weapon/defiant was xinrae?

it would be a great shutdown for necro spikes and possibly even if you ran into SF/SH groups or teams that incorperated those skills (modded sway) the weapon spell could possibly be hard to use but i still think it has advantages over the item spell. for the item spell just tempt the enemy into attacking the rt first. its not like they would notice (at least not if it wasn't yet meta). idk. just a thought Curlytop2112 23:43, 17 October 2007 (CEST)

and a bad thought at that.—Cheese Slaya's Sig.jpg Cheese Slaya (Talk) 00:12, 18 October 2007 (CEST)

I really like this HA build, sure, its rather found in PUG's, but its what most people have to do to get into a decent guild, heck, im only r2 with like 85 Fame, but i've won halls maybe 5 times, and I know thats a LOT :)) Ive beaten Leelofs guild, Black Parades, Deer, Rawr, GANK, so I really like this, and ive also been using different pet skills, like poisonous bite, and another Rao uses Bestial Mauling, and the other one might use Lunging Strike, and it works. But ya, I give two thumbs up for this build, it helps us more "n0t l33t" players get fame.

Lol @ poisonous bite. but yes, this works, its gayer than buttsecks, but it works.—Cheese Slaya's Sig.jpg Cheese Slaya (Talk) 00:03, 19 October 2007 (CEST)

Why does this have EW? Are the trappers and necros and rit that energy hungry? Doesn't EW totally destroy the rit's spirits already marginal usefulness? --Edru viransu//QQ about me/sysop 19:31, 21 October 2007 (CEST)

It's for energy management for the thumpers ----InfestedHydralisk Shadow Prison.jpg 19:32, 21 October 2007 (CEST)
Why? It's not like RaOs have energy problems as long as they don't suck. --Edru viransu//QQ about me/sysop 19:33, 21 October 2007 (CEST)
It also lowers dust trap, OoA, and spirits ----InfestedHydralisk Shadow Prison.jpg 19:35, 21 October 2007 (CEST)
Is that really needed though? Dust Trap's already pretty cheap, and OoA should generally be fueled by SR, on the presumably rare occasions on which you will use it, and spirits are fueled by SR, too. EW kinda destroys the rt/me, too. --Edru viransu//QQ about me/sysop 19:37, 21 October 2007 (CEST)
There are not always quick deaths tho. And soul reaping does only give you energy by spirits when they belong to you, not allied ones or that belong to your foes. It doesn't kill the Rt/M that hard ----InfestedHydralisk Shadow Prison.jpg 19:45, 21 October 2007 (CEST)
25% recharge increase on the 45 recharge spirits? That's nearly a minute recharge each. --Edru viransu//QQ about me/sysop 19:47, 21 October 2007 (CEST)
That's true ----InfestedHydralisk Shadow Prison.jpg 19:48, 21 October 2007 (CEST)
He can't put them on recharge+warmonger's+expel anyway. –Ichigo724Ichigo-signature.jpg 19:51, 21 October 2007 (CEST)
Even with EW, you're spending nearly 2 pips using the spirits on recharge. --Edru viransu//QQ about me/sysop 20:04, 21 October 2007 (CEST)
Needed for OoA. SR might cover it but then it means you have no energy for healing if you dont bring EW. - Rawrawr 20:09, 21 October 2007 (CEST)
According to Cheese, OoA is baed. Cheese is gud HA, isn't he? --Edru viransu//QQ about me/sysop 20:12, 21 October 2007 (CEST)
Probably, I never said it was good in this build. But as the build is, it NEEDs EW. Also OoA is secks normally, dunno about in spiritway tho. - Rawrawr 20:16, 21 October 2007 (CEST)
This build looks rather fail. Only one dust trap? Only one barbed trap? Brambles? I suppose this might be right though. I'll have to ask Auron. --Edru viransu//QQ about me/sysop 20:19, 21 October 2007 (CEST)

spiritway according to Auron, may be outdated. --Edru viransu//QQ about me/sysop 20:31, 21 October 2007 (CEST)

He uses OoA, and I always see the OoA spiritways win the halls when spiritway winz hallz. - Rawrawr 20:33, 21 October 2007 (CEST)
No EW is phail, usually you don't notice though b/c all you fight is this and the other team has it.... OoA actually isn't that bad here, as the only time you really need to strip the enchantments is when NR/tranq is down, which is the best time to be using said OoA. every trapper needs barbed trap, it is pretty much your only snare, and is a humongous help for snaring the healers your raos are training, snaring the raos training your healers, and snaring on relic/capture point maps. and i would rather have a 2nd WoW on the ooa, and drop fomf.—Cheese Slaya's Sig.jpg Cheese Slaya (Talk) 23:39, 21 October 2007 (CEST)
and yes you can manage energy w/o rao quite easily, as long as you zealous and your attacks aren't blocked/missed/etc. whenever EW goes down you can just swap to your zealous set, but w/ ew you can run vamp/elemental which really helps.—Cheese Slaya's Sig.jpg Cheese Slaya (Talk) 23:40, 21 October 2007 (CEST)

Make Haste?

This would help greatly in relic running becasue carrying a relic slows you down, also in KoTH when the rao is taking ghost for first time the ghost doesn't have a speed boost. SoC is useless IMO because in KoTh it's whoever caps first who wins if they dont suck. It also cancels trapper's speed. In case of a change put 6 in command and lower expertise.Spikeownage 01:38, 10 November 2007 (CET)

Good idea, don't really wanna lost SoC though, it gives you a chance, if nothing else. Dropping Flame Trap, it's the least useful of the traps. — Tycn (talk*pvxcontribs) 01:39, 10 November 2007 (CET)

What weapons WoR and OoA use? The wep information doesn't tell it correctly.

From the article: A +5 energy weapon of Fortitude and a shield of Fortitude. A Restoration or SR focus. Anti-spike shields. -- 20:38, 13 November 2007 (CET)
