I forgot to add in they were formally known as loveway paras. I keep failing at this wiki stuff /facepalm.(Callistotyler 14:45, 17 August 2008 (EDT))

Err...did someone wipe the discussion page or something? and since when were monks ever known as paragons...--IkimonoI know Paragons. Shut up and listenMonk-Paragon-icon 01:55, 10 January 2009 (EST)

Channeling

Is moot in HA at this point. with everyone undoubtedly taking rend and/or rip it is going to get removed and become more of a burden than a decent E- management skill. As it stands mo/w, n/rt and e/rt outdoes this, channeling is just not the right skill choice. My idea is to go mo/w on both, but balanced stance on the RC over channeling, take out the hex remove on the HB (PnH is plenty) and but in shield bash and disciplined stance, the energy shouldn't be a problem except for a little less spamability and less tanking on the monks (In my eyes this is a good thing). These changes allow for more BACKLINING and less tanking on the monks, allowing for alleviated pressure on the backline which in turn becomes better party support, the monks core job.Devon 01:59, 16 February 2009 (EST)

welp, then we're going to need 3 monks or 2 monks and 2 hard support then.--72.189.85.14 03:27, 16 February 2009 (EST)
Actually, you could run a standard GvG backline in HA since forever, you just have to actually think then instead of spamming red bar/prots on recharge. - Miserysig (talk) 03:30, 16 February 2009 (EST)
Yep. The reason people took Channeling was because they're bad at managing energy. RickyRicksawsmfacevantof 04:04, 16 February 2009 (EST)
And also why manage energy when you can spam?PikaFanFile:Chrismaspika sig.jpg 04:05, 16 February 2009 (EST)
Because it means you're not terrible D: RickyRicksawsmfacevantof 04:31, 16 February 2009 (EST)
Yes, it would really suck if not every person in the world could HB huh? Devon 22:05, 16 February 2009 (EST)
WoH is braver in HA FrostrageFrosty po! 22:05, 16 February 2009 (EST)
the bravest monks dont even bring an elite.*Un*ɖɩđđɭɘş —ɱƈ^Ŗęąḻ^ḻƴƿʃooƿʂ UNREALs heart touch my red link! 22:07, 16 February 2009 (EST)

You're all idiots. Channeling is so you can sit on an alter and spam heal party and spirit bond on recharge, which is necessary when you're playing two teams at once who are both trying take you and yuor ghost down. when it's 16v8 a gvg backline will just get you rolled. Keep channeling and don't be fucking bad.--GoldenGoldenstarStar 22:13, 16 February 2009 (EST)

Also, smart teams don't rend the HB, they just rip the prot and rend midline attunes, which is why prots are bringing waste not want not or pdrain. Channeling is still important and necessary--GoldenGoldenstarStar 22:15, 16 February 2009 (EST)
prot can take channeling, HB can take stances and btw, have you ever been in a team during king of the hill and had team chat and/or been in vent at all, its always TAKE DAON TEH MANK DEN KILL DE GOST! Devon 23:17, 16 February 2009 (EST)
HB takes stances lol you're bad, if anything prot would take stances, HB needs channel so he can stand on alter and use heal party on recharge. And yes you always kill prot then warding on koth, what's your point?--GoldenGoldenstarStar 15:47, 17 February 2009 (EST)

WnWn is terrible on a prot, desperite the HA meta. You get like 6 energy, and if you'd had another spell you could just prot more effecient, thus reduce the damage = gaining that 6 energy back, while still having a effective prot. —ǘŋƐxɩsƫ 21:37, 25 February 2009 (UTC)

Updated

updated healer, not good to have our standard backline use a build that is archived. --Drah Drah-Sig1 04:06, 25 February 2009 (UTC)

Go ahead and correct me if im wrong on this --Drah Drah-Sig1 04:19, 25 February 2009 (UTC)

Power Drain?

Uh, what? I've never seen anyone run that ever. Also, the optional on the WoH is usually spotless or draw if RC and no PnH. —ǥrɩɳsɧƴɖɩđđɭɘş Grinshpon blinky cake 12:20, 1 March 2009 (UTC)

Actually, people used to run it quite a lot, but as all homo-eles now take Mantra of Resolve people stop taking it because they are too terrible to interrupt the LC. (This is at stupidly low levels btw.) Brandnew. 12:28, 1 March 2009 (UTC)
Brand, you do realise you still get the energy for rupting it even if they carry on casting? ;o Crowels[슴Mc슴]Mootles 23:16, 10 March 2009 (UTC)
I've seen a lot of people use it, but never actuall get it on any, any, spell. mine or an allies. Defensive Monks just spend too much time camping their allies to effectively intterupt. If they ever do get an interrupt it's pretty much just luck. Usually it's a waste of 5e and a skill slot. Imo, Heaven's Delight would be better.--IkimonoNeeds more ParagonMonk-Paragon-icon 00:16, 11 March 2009 (UTC)
you're playing vs/with bad monks then, all the monks i've played with--myself included--have found it relatively easy to find a fire ele, rupt a cast and have excelent energy management. If you're actually watching the field instead of red barring it's relatively simple to pick out a fire ele, watching him for ~2-3s and rupt a 2s cast. Under severely heavy pressure you're not always able to do this ofc, but usually it's not a problem.--Goldenstar 01:10, 11 March 2009 (UTC)
makes sense then. over the weekend i think i only saw 1 offensive ele oddly. pretty much the rest of the time i only saw Iway, and different smiteway/teaseway/"hey i heard there was something called HA"-way--IkimonoNeeds more ParagonMonk-Paragon-icon 01:59, 11 March 2009 (UTC)
TBH the HA meta is pretty fucked right now, and izzy's efforts to kill rawrspike didn't help. In general, I'm staying away from tombs right now, because it's just not fucking fun. Mind blasting TA or playing double ranger in gvg is much more entertaining--Goldenstar 02:05, 11 March 2009 (UTC)

Put HB back in

Rend nerfs mean massive enchant removal is pretty gone and most people are relying on rip + profane (or rend if you have a mes), which is easily manageable for an HB. Anyway it's seeing meta use again--Goldenstar 21:21, 7 April 2009 (UTC)
